My Honest Thoughts on Pumping & Breastfeeding ♡
Feeding and pumping turned out to be one of the most emotional parts of my postpartum journey. Some days felt rewarding, while other days felt frustrating and exhausting — especially as a first-time mom trying to understand what worked best for my body and my baby.
Momcozy Wearable Hands-Free Pump
I initially bought only one wearable pump because I didn’t know what to expect. Looking back, I wish I had bought two from the beginning because pumping one side at a time takes much longer.
The biggest thing I learned was that flange sizing matters a lot. Using the right fit made pumping more comfortable and helped with better output.

Medela Purelan Lanolin Cream
As a first-time mom, breastfeeding felt painful in the initial days because my baby’s latch felt very strong and my skin became sensitive.
This ointment gave me quick relief and made feeding more manageable. Over time, my body adjusted and breastfeeding gradually started feeling more natural and beautiful.

Momcozy Nursing Bra
One thing I underestimated during postpartum was how important comfortable nursing bras are. Feeding and pumping happen throughout the day, so comfort truly matters.
I liked that this bra has a one-handed nursing closure and adjustable shoulder straps, making it easier to breastfeed anytime — especially during night feeds or when holding the baby.

Momcozy Nursing Pillow
I originally thought nursing pillows were only for breastfeeding, but they are helpful for bottle feeding too. Long feeding sessions can become tiring on the arms, shoulders, and lower back.
The extra support helped me maintain a better posture and made feeding feel more comfortable during those early months.

Since I struggled with undersupply, my baby sometimes became frustrated during feeds when my flow was slower. Eventually, I started combining feeding methods instead of trying to exclusively breastfeed.
I pumped and fed fresh expressed milk using the Philips Avent glass bottles. If the milk was refrigerated, I warmed it gently in the Philips Avent bottle warmer. On days when my milk was not enough for one full feed, I combined breast milk with formula — and that gave me peace of mind.
The biggest lesson I learned is that milk supply works largely on demand. Consistent milk removal through nursing or pumping helps signal the body to continue producing milk. Even on low-supply days, I tried to keep latching because the baby’s latch itself helped with stimulation.
Don’t skip morning pumping
I personally noticed better output in the morning, so I tried not to miss that session whenever possible.
Focus on consistency, not perfection
Without much help, pumping 8–9 times a day was not realistic for me. I focused on 4–5 meaningful sessions instead.
Power pumping helped me
I tried one power-pumping session whenever possible because it helped stimulate output for me personally.
Nutrition and hydration matter
Protein, oatmeal, warm fluids, and plenty of water helped support my energy. I also tried fennel, cumin, fenugreek tea, and moringa powder based on traditional mom advice.
Momcozy Milk Storage Sachets
These pre-sterilized sachets were convenient during the early pumping days because they are easy to use, freeze, and organize.
I found them useful for quick storage, especially when I didn’t want to wash extra bottles immediately.

For long-term use, reusable bottles felt more practical. They are BPA-free, fridge-friendly, dishwasher-safe, and can be sterilized in the Philips Avent sterilizer.
The milk can also be warmed in the Philips Avent bottle warmer and poured into Philips Avent feeding bottles, which made feeding simpler.
